The Top of the Line Designer Launches Collection with Target.

He’s at it again. Headline making designer, Jason Wu, who stole the show at the 2008 inauguration with his organza gown for First Lady Michelle Obama, has another first, a brand new collection for Target, debuting Sunday, Feb. 5th.
The line, Mr. Wu’s first collaboration with a mass retailer, offers those of us who hanker for his premier collection, an opportunity to get the look at affordable price points. The fifty-three piece collection comprised of apparel, handbags and scarves is imbued with the brand’s feminine spirit but equally importantly is inspired by French New Wave films and the actress Jean Seberg.
The collection, previewed on The Today Show, features pretty full skirted poplin pleated dresses, feminine ribbon tied blouses, sporty pleated skirts, chic pleated shift dresses and flirty feline tees, scarves and totes. All of the designer’s signature details are featured in the appealing collection, touches of lace, pleats, dainty collars and ribbon tied garments for day, or evening, all under $60.
