MAGICA : Rajola creates this long necklace by carefully threading tiny faceted green agate beads together. It's part of the feminine Magica collection that is inspired by the effect of a woman draped in gorgeous jewelry. A faceted sleek black hoop of black onyx and 18-karat gold accents complete the purely Italian look.
The heart of Rajola's southern Italian heritage is Sciacca coral. Discovered near the seaside village of that name in western Sicily, the designers look to the renowned material for its superior consistency and distinct orange-pink color. Sciacca coral was buried by volcanic eruptions centuries ago, and discovered and recovered between 1875 and 1900. That's when Rajola started using the material in its jewelry, and has been ever since.
