MISTERO SCIACCA : These naturally beautiful earrings feature cultured freshwater grey pearls with one of the rarest of coral, Sciacca. Hand assembled using the Italian jewelry house's techniques that date back to the early 1900s, the distinctly colored and shaped beads of Sciacca coral are on brilliant dispay. These coral earrings have 18k gold shepherd’s hooks.
The heart of Rajola's southern Italian heritage is Sciacca coral. Discovered near the seaside village of that name in western Sicily, the designers look to the renowned material for its superior consistency and distinct orange-pink color. Sciacca coral was buried by volcanic eruptions centuries ago, and discovered and recovered between 1875 and 1900. That's when Rajola started using the material in its jewelry, and has been ever since.
